History of pilates
Pilates is an exercise system developed by Joseph H. Pilates back in the early part of the 20th century. Over the course of a lifetime Pilates dedicated his time to improve physical and mental health by creating exercises for the whole body. Pilates strengthens the body from the inside out, increases flexibility and improves overall health including strengthening the body’s core and improving posture. Pilates helps to bring balanced development to the whole body. Pilates exercises are performed on a mat and on specially designed equipment.

To get started
We first need a little information about you. We have a short entry questionnaire that will take approximately 5 minute to complete. Please click here to get started on the intake form.
Once you have completed the form, please give us 24 hours to create your Pike13 online account. Once the account is setup you will receive a welcome email from our online booking system. Please check the instructions in your setup account.
What is the next step?
We will schedule in a free consultation (15 minutes). If you prefer, you can book an introductory (75 minute) private lesson with one of our qualified Pilates teachers. This private lesson includes a postural analysis, an overview of the equipment, and an introduction to the basic Pilates principles and Fundamentals that you will be using in your Pilates practice.
