Water-based therapy (Ai-Chi aquatic exercise) focused on therapeutic benefits. RCT demonstrates benefits for pain, spasm, fatigue, disability, depression, and autonomy in MS. Similar to aquatic exercise but with specific therapeutic focus.

How to practice

  1. 1Work with a physical therapist or trained professional
  2. 2Use warm (not hot) water if heat sensitive
  3. 3Focus on gentle movements in water
  4. 4Benefit from water's buoyancy and resistance
  5. 5May include contrast therapy (alternating warm/cool water)
